GRADE 5

Dear Parents/Guardians,

As part of our Integrated Studies (History) subject, students completed projects about significant events that took place in Colonial Australia during the 1800’s. They included events such as the arrival of The First Fleet, The Eureka Stockade and The Gold Rush. Students extended their research skills and demonstrated their understanding of what happened, how it happened and how their chosen event impacted Australia as we know it today. Many created interesting posters, power point presentations, videos and quizzes that they shared with classmates and could share with you at home.

Camp

As you may know, we have our grades 5/6 camp to Sovereign Hill and Kryal Castle next term on the 2/5/18 until 4/5/18. All parents have received a broadcast and even paper permission notes. Could I please request you respond (either with a “yes” or “no”) as soon as possible so that we can finalise our numbers for the camp. Camps always provide wonderful learning experiences for students therefore we would really love to have as many students attend as possible.
